For over 20 years Barton Firtop have designed and manufactured Filter Separators and Coalescers for the O&G Industry. Having supplied major clients such as BP, Esso & Conoco over the years, competitive market forces had slowed company growth in this area. Now, having exclusive access to HAST Demister Pads and their unique process design capability, we have been able to over-haul our 3 Stage Filter-Separator range, utilising extremely competitive demister pad internals at the 3rd process phase, driving down the overall vessel size and cost significantly. The 3 Stage Filter-Separator vessels have a first phase of knock-out baffles to remove large liquid slugs and large solid contaminants, then a 2nd Stage bank of filter separator cartridges will remove fine solids and coalesce entrained mist into 'clean-streams' which are then passed onto the 3rd stage for final liquid removal by the HAST Demister Pads. High filtration efficiency is achieved, designed to meet specific client requirements.

The Filter Separators are available in ANSI 150# to ANSI 1500# ratings in all material grades and are purpose-built to client order specifications. The vessels can also be used in liquid-liquid applications to remove entrained water from fuels. Preferred design is for vertical filter separators but Barton Firtop have manufactured many Filter Separators for horizontal vessel installation applications, typically for larger vessels >10 tonnes (see photo). One & Two Stage Coalescers for Gas/Liquid & Liquid/Liquid applications are also available.
